The Wake of Your Smile

I give you my voice,

not because I need to be heard,

but because I love the way you listen—

the way your eyes spark,

the way your laughter fills the space between verses,

soft, radiant, alive.

I sing for you,

not for applause,

not for pride,

but for the way your smile unfolds,

like dawn breaking over a quiet world.

Every note, every word,

a gift—

wrapped in melody,

tied with nothing but my undivided attention.

You don’t need to tease to be playful,

don’t need to chase to be free.

You just need a moment,

a song,

a space where you can come alive

without hesitation,

without restraint.

And I give it to you,

again and again,

as long as you’ll let me.

Because when you shine,

the whole world disappears,

and in that light,

I am home.
