No Backup Plan

Standing with nothing behind you,

no door cracked, no air in,

no hope even in the shadows.

A "full send" as they say

"land it or dieno half throttle pulls

like a stuntman flying over a canyon,

no safety, no thoughts, no fear.

Tethered in chemistry and awe.

Nature and her plan is all.

"Send it" says the instinct to a place of danger,

where photons are entangled in pink,

in the depth of our celestial shadow,

beyond the horizon of sentient ego,

in a physics romance of our pure creation.

Off we go into the orbiting shades of dark,

assured only of the light burning inside.

Found not in the seen, but felt only in love,

shinning bright beyond burning gas

Ending the dim of the dark,

courageous and bold atoms of love.

Present from where I stand,

the radiant love you are.

Off we go,

with no backup plan.
