End of the Search

I used to want everything—
to see what the world had to offer,
to chase what felt powerful, rare, untouchable.
I thought maybe if I got close enough,
I’d finally feel something real.
But the more I saw,
the more it all started to look the same.
Different faces, same emptiness.
So I stopped chasing it.
Not because I gave up—
but because it stopped making sense.
And then you.
You didn’t try to impress me.
You didn’t try to fix me.
You just showed up
and made me feel like I could breathe again.
You saw the part of me I never explain.
You understood the kind of tired that has nothing to do with sleep.
And for once,
I didn’t have to perform to be loved.
With you, I don’t need more.
Not more people.
Not more places.
Not more anything.
You make the world quiet.
You make it enough.
You’re the reason I don’t feel like I’m searching anymore.
And if all of this ends tomorrow,
I’ll still be grateful I found you.
Because finding you
was the end of the search.
